# Password

Cwallet utilizes two distinct types of passwords to maximize security:

* **Login Password:** This opens the front door. It lets you view your portfolio and settings.
* **Payment Password:** This unlocks the vault. It is one of the most important lines of defense required for any money to leave your wallet.

Managing these correctly is your first step in protecting your account.
