What is a High-Risk Deposit, and Why am I Restricted?

To ensure a secure financial environment, Cwallet operates a rigorous, automated Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring system. This system screens every single deposit in real-time. If a transaction triggers a security alert during this screening, your account will be automatically placed under a temporary protective restriction.

This is a standard compliance procedure designed to strictly adhere to global AML policies and safeguard the integrity of our platform.

How to Resolve the Restriction

While all flagged deposits are categorized as 'High-Risk' in the interface, the specific resolution method varies based on the severity of the alert. You will be guided down one of two distinct paths:

Path 1 - The AML Ticket

In many cases, we simply need additional context to verify the legitimacy of the funds before crediting them.

  • Requirement: You must complete Enhanced KYC verification and submit an AML Ticket.

  • The Ticket: It will ask for specific information regarding the asset's provenance, including your source of funds and proof of income.

Once your KYC is verified and the ticket is approved by our compliance team, your account restrictions will be lifted, and the funds will be credited to your balance. You will regain full access to manage or transfer these assets as normal.

Path 2 - Withdrawal Only

For transactions that exceed our risk appetite, the specific assets will be prohibited from entering the Cwallet ecosystem entirely.

  • Requirement: You must complete Enhanced KYC verification.

  • The Withdrawal: Even after verification, the system will not credit the funds to your balance. Instead, a temporary withdrawal channel will be opened specifically for this transaction.

Once your KYC is verified and you have withdrawn the specific assets, your account restrictions will be lifted.

These measures are not punitive, they are protective. By enforcing strict AML screenings, Cwallet ensures it remains a safe harbor for legitimate users and clean assets.
